Who is altairs son

When Altair tried to explain himself to the citizens, Abbas pushed him into the angry crowd and ran into the castle to steal the Apple of Eden. He claimed Altair was too weak to use it but ironically his mind was too weak and the apple started to suck away his life and release powerful energy blasts.

Altair managed to get the apple away from Abbas in time and saved his life. Abbas apologized for what he did but his hatred of Altair did not go away.

When Altair left for Mongolia to battle the growing threat of Genghis Khan, Abbas moved to usurp his power. A council was then set up to govern the assassins with the most weak minded as council members and Abbas as the head. Under his rule the assassins disregarded the creed and tended to act as mere thugs and battles were lost to the Templars that ended in massacres. The surrounding villagers began to spite the assassins instead of praise them. Abbas claimed he would give Altair answers if he turned over the Apple of Eden to which Altair relented.

When Swami was about to take the apple he bragged to Altair that he killed his son Sef and told him that his father ordered it. Enraged, Altair used the apple to mutilate Swami which Maria Thorpe begged him to stop doing. However Swami attacked wildly and killed Maria before he died. Abbas then ordered his guards to capture Altair and Altair along with his eldest son Darim were forced to escape Masyaf and live in exile for the next twenty years.

Altair returned to Masyaf as an old man to reclaim the order from Abbas. So looks like 16 and Desmond are related and Altair's son Darim kinda proves it. Some time after arriving in Alamut, Darim met with his sister-in-law and nieces. A year later, Darim himself was driven away from Alamut by his father's state of depression and his renewed obsession with the Apple of Eden.

Darim traveled to France and England to warn of the advancing threat of the Mongol Empire. In , Darim returned to Masyaf, following his father's return to power as leader of the Order. Bearing several of his father's books, Darim left Masyaf for Alexandria to rejoin his brother's widow and her children. In , Darim was remembered by his modern successors as a key figure of the Brotherhood, notably for having given an Apple of Eden to the first Sultan of the Bahri dynasty , after the Egyptian Brotherhood had already given the Scepter of Aset to the revolted Mamluks whom had created the new dynasty and had began an era of prosperity for Egypt.
